Neumann KM 184 i is a key microphone for classical music recording,
but it’s not advisable to use it on a boom because of its sensitivity
to low-frequency mechanical vibrations: a light puff of air
is enough “to stick” the diaphragm and provoke/could lead to brutal overload.
On the other hand, it is highly recommended for piano recording.
